Sometimes we need a safer space away from our day-to-day lives to focus on ourselves; our own challenges and development, our own hopes and dreams, our callings. Individual counselling is a one-on-one discussion between you and a your therapist.
I work to provide a safe space for confidential conversation. Whether you hope to discuss concerns or problems that cannot be addressed with the people that are present in your life, or that need to be addressed with the guidance and support of an experienced therapist, I approach my clients with empathy, respect, and without judgement.
Meeting with me for individual counselling can be a positive step towards finding solutions or strategies to cope with the challenges that life tends to drop in our paths. I can support clients experiencing challenges including (but not limited to):
Oppression and marginalization
Fear, shame, guilt
Gender identity and LGBTQ+ issues
Life transitions (divorce/separation, aging, relocation, illness)
Work life stress and conflict
Depression, sadness, loneliness
Grief and loss
Self-esteem and self-confidence
Identity formation / exploration
Relational concerns (family, friends, partners)
Goal setting and planning
Sex and sexuality
